Dashboard Overview
What you see when you log in: monthly sales, your latest sales, all-time totals per currency and quarterly analytics. Plus a tour of the sidebar, the store switcher and transaction search.
Overview
The dashboard is the first page you see after logging in to the Merchant Portal. It shows how your business is doing at a glance, and the sidebar on the left takes you to every other part of the portal.

The page title greets you by your merchant name, for example Good afternoon, Your Company.
Monthly sales
The Monthly sales (last 12 months) chart plots your sales volume month by month for the past year. Use it to spot growth, quiet months and seasonal patterns.
Latest sales
The Latest sales › panel on the right lists your most recent sales and returns:
- Sales and Returns show how many of each are in the list, with a bar showing the split.
- Up to six rows show the time, amount and type. Returns carry a Return label.
- Click a row to open that transaction. Click Latest sales › (or All sales › below the list) to go to Sales.
The panel shows today’s sales. If you haven’t had any sales yet today, it shows yesterday’s. If there were none yesterday either, it stays empty, even if you’ve had sales earlier in the week. Use the period tabs on the Sales page to look further back.
Totals per currency
Below the charts, one row of tiles per currency shows all-time figures:
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Total sales | The total value of your sales in that currency |
| Total number of sales | How many sales make up that total |
| Average order value | Total sales divided by the number of sales |
| Returns | The total refunded, with the number of refunds in brackets |
If you only take payments in one currency, you see one row.
Quarterly Analytics

Quarterly Analytics compares Sales and Returns per quarter. If you take payments in more than one currency, pick the currency with the buttons next to the title. The menu icon in the top-right corner of the chart lets you download the chart.
Filtering by store
If your business has two or more stores, the store switcher at the top of the sidebar (Select store) lets you pick one store or All stores. Your choice is remembered the next time you log in.
When you pick a store, the monthly chart, latest sales and totals show that store’s figures, and the sidebar gains a section for that store (see below). If the store has no transactions, the dashboard says No transactions found for this store with a View all button that switches back to all stores.
The sidebar
| Item | What you’ll find |
|---|---|
| Find transaction by ID… | Search box. Paste a transaction ID, order ID, payment ID, card number ending or reference and press Enter. See Sales |
| Sales | Every transaction, with insights, search and exports. See Sales |
| Reports | Settlement and cash register reports, and CSV exports. See Reports |
| Terminals | All your terminals and printers, registering new ones, and hardware deliveries. See Terminals |
| Stores | All your stores and creating new ones. See Stores |
| Campaigns | Promotions on terminal idle screens and receipts. See Campaigns |
| Gift Cards | Issue and track gift cards. See Gift Cards |
| Support | Your support tickets, chat and FAQ. See Support |
| Messages | Notices and product updates from Surfboard, with an unread counter. See Messages |
| Settings | Company details, payment methods, users, notifications and more. See Settings |
Not every account has every item. Campaigns and Gift Cards only show if they’re enabled for your account.
When you’ve picked a store in the store switcher, Terminals and Stores are replaced by a section headed with the store’s name: Overview, Terminals, and depending on your account Products, Payment links and Cash register, followed by Brand and Settings. All stores takes you back to the store list.
At the bottom of the sidebar:
- The language picker switches the portal between Svenska, English, Dansk, Suomi and Norsk. Your choice is remembered.
- The panel icon next to the store switcher collapses the sidebar to icons only. This gives wide tables, such as the transaction list, room to show every column.
There’s no user menu. To log out, go to Settings and click Log out in the top-right corner.
