Payouts on the Merchant's Schedule
Daily, weekly or monthly payouts, set per merchant. Net or gross settlement, a cut-off time that fits the business, and a settlement report behind every payout. Changes go to the merchant to sign, so the schedule always matches the agreement.
One Platform, Many Ways to Get Paid
Merchants do not all want their money the same way. The payout schedule, the settlement type and the cut-off time are set per merchant, so one partner portfolio can hold all of them at once.
Every card and payment method the merchant takes ends up in the same payout and the same report. No separate settlement per method and no separate agreement to reconcile.
Reports and payouts move together
The schedule decides how often a settlement report is produced. A merchant on daily payouts can still pull a weekly or monthly report of their sales whenever they like.

What you can set
Per merchant, from the Partner Portal or the API.
1. Daily, Weekly or Monthly
Set per merchant, so a busy restaurant can be paid every banking day while a seasonal business takes one monthly payout.
- Daily, every banking day
- Weekly, once a week
- Monthly, once a month
2. Net or Gross
Choose how fees are taken:
- Net, fees are deducted from every payout
- Gross, the merchant receives the full amount and fees are deducted once a month
Gross settlement suits merchants who book revenue and costs separately.
3. A Cut-off That Fits the Business
The daily cut-off decides when a day's sales are closed for settlement. A bar open past midnight keeps its late sales on the right day, and the portal shows whether the merchant lands on T+1 or T+2.
4. Changes Are Contracted
The payout schedule sits in the merchant agreement, so a change goes to the merchant as a signing link. No partner can change how a merchant is paid without the merchant agreeing to it.
5. Fees and Charges Come Off the Payout
Transaction fees from the billing plan and charges such as terminal rental are deducted from the settlement. No separate invoice for the merchant to pay and none for you to chase.
6. Shares to Third Parties
When part of a payment belongs to someone else, a commission, a royalty or a platform fee, Surfboard Flow pays that share out separately and reports it on its own line.
Managed from the Partner Portal
Each merchant's Settlement page holds the settlement type, the cut-off time and the payout frequency. Net or gross and the cut-off are saved directly. A new frequency generates a signing link to send to the merchant, with its status shown until they sign.
Fetch the settlement reports
Pull a merchant's settlement reports for any period and reconcile each payout line by line. Or subscribe to them through the Notifications API and have them delivered by SFTP or email as they are produced.
