Value-added services
Services are a field on the order, not a new integration.
Gift cards, promotions, tips, receipts and the rest run on the same order and payment you already send. Switch them on for a merchant, and they work in the terminal app out of the box or through the API for partners building their own flow.
What a merchant can offer
Each service is enabled per merchant and priced on the partner's billing plan, as a one-off, recurring or usage-based charge deducted at payout.
-
Gift cards
Monetary and usage-based cards, shared by link, with balances tracked across every store.
-
Promotions
Offers with QR codes on terminal idle screens and receipts, scheduled per store and measured by scans.
-
Loyalty
Points earned on set amounts, status tiers and redemption, recognised from the card the customer pays with.
-
Identification
A card tap recognises the customer without taking a payment, for check-in, member prices and entitlements.
-
Tips
Presets and custom amounts on the terminal, configured per merchant, store or terminal.
-
Receipts
Email, hosted link or print, in the partner's or the merchant's brand.
-
Payment links
A link to a hosted payment page for any order, sent by text, email, QR code or chat and managed end to end.
Flexibility at the terminal
Each of these works out of the box in the terminal app, or through the API for partners building the same flow into their own POS.
Send to terminal
Move a payment from one terminal to any other registered terminal, or to a payment page.
Example. A SoftPOS payment that fails is finished on a physical terminal, or online.
Split the bill
The order is split on the terminal itself, or the partner builds the same split into its own POS.
Example. A restaurant hands one terminal to a table and each guest pays their part.
Change payment method
The POS starts the payment as card, and the customer picks the method they prefer on the terminal screen. Lock the order to one method when the choice should not be offered.
Example. The customer pays with Klarna or Swish instead of the card the POS started with.
